OUR STORY

Family-Run Precision Engineering Excellence

Our journey as a family-run precision engineering business based in Nuneaton began in 2017. What started as a small workshop as MJ Classic Engineering  working with customers with classic cars, has now evolved into a thriving enterprise, supplying high-quality engineering solutions to businesses and the individuals alike.

With our CNC and manual capabilities, we have honed our craft to precision, earning a reputation for excellence in the industry. Today, we are proud to continue our legacy of delivering top-notch engineering services with a keen focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

WORK WITH US

What We Do

Milling

Our XYZ LPM machining center allows us to create custom components accurately and efficiently, whether for individual pieces or small to medium batches. Programming can be done directly on the machine or offline using our dedicated CAD CAM software. This capability enables us to precisely machine components based on our customers' CAD models.

Complementing our CNC capacity is the KRV3000 manual mill, which aids in producing unique pieces and tooling essential to our operations.

Turning

Our workshop boasts the capability to manufacture components using our  Leadwell CNC lathe and Harrison Alpha 330plus machines. The CNC is perfect for batch production, aided by a bar puller. While the Alpha handles one-off parts with manual precision and small batches efficiently with its dedicated CAM software.

Subcon

Assembly

With our extensive experience, we offer both component manufacturing and assembly services. This allows our clients to focus on other project aspects, saving them time and resources. Trust us to handle your project needs efficiently.

Operating at Mario James Precision Engineering involves maintaining an extensive network of suppliers and subcontractors. This network enables us to procure materials and tooling from multiple sources.

We offer subcontracting services that encompass a variety of processes such as - Fabrication, heat treatments, surface treatments like Anodising and plating, as well as painting, powder coating, 5-axis machining, and grinding.

With a focus on Precision Engineering, our family business is located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. We are dedicated to meeting engineering requirements across all industries. Through our CNC and manual capabilities, we deliver excellent services and products.

Meet The Engineering Team

Mario Mclaughlin

Director/Owner

I went straight into Engineering as an apprentice Toolmaker after school for 5 years and manufacturing/Engineering  at college.

I then went onto another role in production and development as a supervisor on manual and CNC machines. Working on pharmaceutical and defence projects.

Keeping a passion for engineering after many years in engineering  I decided to set up on my own along with Michelle.

Hobbies -  Petrol head at heart with a love for music and a love for engineering.

Michelle McLaughlin

Director/Owner

Starting out in child care, I soon realised that there was more out there.

After moving to a local engineering company I soon started to excel in purchasing. Then moving into an international packaging company purchasing engineering components from all over the world.

After many years in packaging I went to a company that manufacturing fire pumps, which gave me more experience in engineering.

I have since had experience within the  core drilling business and safety industries. My natural progression was to  work together with Mario at Mario James Precision Ltd.

Hobbies - Classic cars, looking the next bargain (you can't ever take the buyer out of me) and volunteering at a local bunny charity.
